Celtic made history in 1967 becoming the first British team to lift a European trophy. The ‘Hoops’ side, made up of all local players, shocked Italian giants Inter Milan in the Lisbon final (winning 2-1).
The legend of the ‘The Lisbon Lions’ was born - managed by Jock Stein, captained by Billy McNeill and featuring stars like Jimmy Johnstone, Stevie Chalmers, Bobby Murdoch, Jim Craig, Bertie Auld, Bobby Lennox, John Clark and Willie Wallace.
